Sinopsis Film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (2010)
Diceritakan seorang anak yang mengalami keretakan dalam rumah tangga bernama Sally (Bailee Madison) harus mulai ikut tinggal kepada ayahnya (Alex – Guy Pearce) beserta calon ibu tirinya (Kim – Katie Holmes) di rumah kuno, peninggalan seniman pelukis bernama Blackwood. Alex dan Kim merupakan desainer interior yang berencana untuk merenovasi rumah kuno itu untuk dijual kemudian. Blackwood sendiri pemilik rumah itu sebelumnya menurut rumor dikabarkan telah hilang tanpa sebab, meski sebenarnya di pembuka cerita film ditampilkan sosok Blackwood ditarik ke bawah tanah oleh sekumpulan makhluk kecil misterius, dimana makhluk-makhluk tersebut takut dengan cahaya.
